The story of Ulises 31 reimagines the Greek hero's adventures in the distant 31st century. The protagonist, Ulises, is the captain of the spaceship Odiseus . The adventure begins when Ulises kills a giant Cyclops to rescue a group of captured children, including his son, Telémaco. This act invokes the wrath of the Olympian gods. As punishment, Zeus sentences Ulises to wander the cosmos aboard his frozen ship until he can find the Kingdom of Hades. He is accompanied by his son, a young alien girl named Thais (or Themis), and a small robot, Nono.
